Card for Baby Alfie

Morning All I hope you are all well today. Well I'm on my 3rd day off & only 1 left :(

I have made this card for Sam at work who has just had a baby boy!

It also fits into 2 challenges Creative Card Crew Babies/Children and Cupcake Craft Challenge as I have followed the sketch on their challenge.

For my card I have used card stock from paper mill, Penny Black image stamped in memento & colored with Pro markers, ribbon from my stash, Martha Stewart Valentine lace border punch & Cuttlebug mbossing folders swiss dots & divine swirl.

Well I'm off out to the Post Office to post the items that I sold on eBay yesterday & then I am seriously gonna start on my Christmas cards for my work mates - honest I know I've said it before but I mean it this time - lol! x

Allsorts & Winter Wonderland

Wello Hello Everyone

What an awful grey & wet day it is here in Newcastle, I also am feeling a little sorry for myself as I am getting a cold and can't stop sneezing!

I have 4 days off work - I know how good is that! So I've deceided to crack on with some Christmas cards.

This card has been made for the Allsorts Challenge of Furry Friends & Winter Wonderland of Christmas Stockings.

Card stock from paper mill, paper DCWV, Penny Black Sneak a Peek image stamped in memeto & colored with Pro Markers, scalloped & plain square nesties, cuttlebug snowflakes embossing folder, X-Cut snowflake punch & dovecraft christmas greeting.

I bought this teal colored card & didnt really know why except that I really liked it, and I'm pleased I did know as it looks good with the purple!

I'm having a day with Buffy DVD's ready for the X Factor tonight! See you all soon!

Creative Inspirations # 14 Anything BUT a card!

Good Morning Peeps! On another GORGEOUS sunny day here in Newcastle I am so pleased I won't see any of it stuck at work 'til 9pm ( can you hear the sarcasim!!) LOL

I am here this morning with my DT for Creative Inspirations the FAB theme this week is Anything BUT a card. Ok so I will admit I did struggle MASSIVLY with this theme but once I'd deceided on what I was going to do there was no stopping me. And what Have I made I can hear you all ask, it is a post it note holder :D

Red & white card stock from the paper mill, ribbon from my stash, paper by DCWV, square plain & scalloped nesties, Penny Black Bear image, & magnolia ladybug (inside) both images are colored with pro markers.

Thank Goodness for the Cuttlebug!!!

Over on Penny Black Saturday Challenge the theme is embossing.

Whilst I was making this card I thought to mayself "remember when you had to emboss by hand, thank goodness for my cuttlebug as I really dont fancy doing this with a brass stencil" ha ha I was never very good with stencils as they always slipped or I messed up some other way! My card blank is from my stash, no idea where the paper came from (oops) pink & white pearl card stock from paper mill shop, white pearl card has been embossed with swiss dots cuttlebug embossing folder, plain & scalloped oval nesties, Penny Black image stamped with memento & colored with pro markers, Happy Birthday & Make a Wish both PB stamps.

Off now to see what other mischief I can get up to!! x x

Stamp Something Sketch

I'm here with my card for the lovely sketch on the Stamp Something blog.


I used one of my Penny Black clear stamps, haven't used these in a while so I am going to try to use them more often. I have a few double & I'm thinking of putting them on eBay o clear some room & make some pennies to buy more stamps with - lol!!!


Anyway back to my Stamp Something card, the A6 card blank is craft tonic, card stock from paper mill shop, paper DCWV, Penny Black image stamped in memento & colored with pro markers & glitter from my stash on the cupcake, ribbon from my stash & brads by Making Memories, "make a wish" also Penny Black.


I'm having a Bones-a-thon I LOVE this show, & whilst watching I'm going to try to enter some more challenges so watch out blogger I'm posting ALL day long!

Over on the Simon Says Challenge Blog they have a theme of one for th boys. This is my first visit to this blog & I really enjoyed the challenge that is male cards lol!!

Animal Antics - Papertake Weekly

2nd time in 2 days my 'lil old Pb's have been inked up & I think they are liking it!!!

This time I've used the same doggie as befor but he's in aid of Papertake Weekly who have a theme of animal antics.

I think I like the brown doggie better so next time he comes out to play I think I'll use the brown again.

Card blank is craft tonic, paper DCWV, dies cuts sent to me by a lovely person cant remember whoo oops sorry!, ribbon from my stash, Doggie by Penny Black stamped in Memento & colored with Pro Markers. Penny Black "Happy Birthday" stamp.

I have done the inside also - woooooo I remembered but its not so exciting so no pics!

Cupcake Craft Challenge For a Man or a Boy

Good Afternoon Peeps! Hope you're all well its a GORGEOUS sunny day here in Newcastle looks windy tho so I'm staying indoors!! Back to work on Wed booooo so will try to get some housework done & get my uniform ready so its not a mad rush on Wednesday afternoon.

This weeks challenge at Cupcake Craft Challenge is to make a card for a Man or a Boy, now I normally go for darker colors for men so for a change I went much lighter.

Card blank is Craft Tonic, card stock from my stash, papers by DCWV, scalloped & plain square nestie sent to me by some lovely person (sorry I can't remember who) & greeting printed from PC, Penny Black Doggie stamped in Memento & colored with Pro Markers.

Penny Black Challenge & Sketch Saturday

This is the first time I have joined in with these challenges & I will definetly be back to both of them!!

I don't know if I'll be able to keep up with them all when I get back to work but I'll give it ago!

I have followed the sketch at Sketch Saturday and the Penny Black Saturday challenge was to use Black, White & 1 other color so I went for orange. No idea why as I would usually go for pink but maybe its because the sun is shining!!

I hav used a craft tonic card blank, black * orange card stock from the Paper Mill, Orange paper by HOTP & black & white paper from my stash (no idea where I got this from oops!), ribbon from my stash X-Cut large & small flower punch, Papermania black jewels & greeting stamp, & Penny Black Gift for You stamp colored with Pro Markers.

Clare's Sketch Challenge

Over on docrafts I have entered this card into Clare's Sketch Challenge for this week!

Paper is by Papermania as are the pearls, white card stock embossed with Swiss Dots bu Cuttlebug, cutie Penny Black stamps from a clear stamp set or 2!! Colored with Pro Markers & ribbon from my stash, I used my Purple Cow trimmer to cut the wiggly line & I like it, I think I will use it some more.......

Cup Cake Tilda

OMG how cute is this Tilda she is DEFINETLY going to make it onto my wish list!

I received the image from a very kind Do Crafter, she has been colored in Pro Markers, craft Tonic card balnk pink card stock from The Paper Mill, cup cake paper by Papermania, Co'ordinations green card stock embossed with Cuttlbug Swiss Dots embossing folder, Penny Black Happy Birthday message & Anita's small green jewels!

I'm off to work now Im working a 9-9 shift, PLEASE keep your fingers crossed that its quiet cos if it is I get to go ome early. Didnt sleep well last night so could really do with it :D

Sunday's Creations..

from me - only have 2 today.

The first is a pink Penny Black Bear. he has been stamped & colored with Pro Markers, 3D mounted onto oval nesties, white & pink card stock, white pearl card has been embossed with cuttlebug swiss dots, Anita's jewels Dovecraft greeting, ribbon from local shop & Divine Swirl cuttlebug embossing folder wmbossed the top & bottom half of pearl card, craft tonic card blank.

I have had a super lazy day today & am totally gutted Im at work 9-9 tomorrow even though I need the extra work I don't wanna do it really!! lol but then again I dont even really wanna do my 9-5 shifts either!!!!

My 2nd card is an Easter card, I think for my Gran, but as I may have already told you I make cards for ppl then change my mind a million times!

Penny Black image stamped & colored with Pro Markers, matted onto pale green pearl card & silver card, 3 pale green Anita's jewels, greeting matted onto same card & which is printed from the PC & down the side silver card & green card embossed with cuttlebug Divine Swirls embossing folder.

I think this is quite sweet but maybe should've went with a deeper color like a pale orange/peach what do you think???

My First Cards of 2009!

Well I spent a VERY lazy day in doors yesterday - I didn't get up 'til 11.30 & them made the most amazing omlette for my breakfast which kept me stuffed 'til tea time! I watched a few Buffy DVD's & made some cards this first one I have made with my Dad in mind but I know what I'm like I'll change my mind a million times between now & his birthday on the 17th March & probably make another 10 cards with Dad in mind - lol. Mam & Dad moved to a new bungalow last year & they now have a MASSIVE garden, they never really had one in the old house & Dad is LOVING it, so I thought this 'lil cutie Hanglar & Stanglar looked like he was off to plant some seeds & thought! I bought the image from eBay & colored him with Pro Markers, underneath the image is Co'ordinations carstock with has been embossed with the Cuttlebug Tiny Bubbles embossing folder, the brads are by Dovecraft, strippy paper is by DCWV & olive card is from the Paper Mill Shop, I printed the greeting off the PC, and the card blank is from WH Smiths!

Next is Valentine's - a VERY quick & easy card, however it took me 3 attempts & not exactly how & where I wanted the greeting but no the less I still think its a cutie!

Penny Black Hedgie's from the "Every Which Way" clear set where stamped onto white card which had been cut with the oval Nestabilities, they were then colored with Pro Markers & mounted onto red card which was cut with scalloped oval Nestability, greeting is from the same Penny Black set!

I got this Edwin stamp from Oyster Stamps - & I think I'm in love with him, he is GORGEOUS! I stamped him onto white card & colored him with Pro Markers (Of Course!), added the dots & dashes round the edge with a fine liner & 3 red jewels from the new Anita's jewel wheel, the card blank is craft tonic, red card stock from the Paper Mill, and paper by DCWV the X&O's are from a Dovecraft clear set & I printed the "Just for you with Love" on the PC, now all I need is my own Edwin as cute as this to send him too!!! LOL

If ALL of the Edwin stamps are as gorgeous as this I think I am going to be buying alot more as I just love him!!!!! Any ideas on what the next Edwin I should get??

Ok last one for now (before I bore you all to death!!) is another cute Penny Black the hedgie was stamped onto white card which had been cut with a small oval nestie & embossed in the cuttlebug which yes you've guessed it was then colored with Pro Markers & mounted onto the scalloped oval nestie, paper is by DCWV & green card is from the Paper Mill, which I embossed with the cuttlebug tiny bubbles embossing folder, jewels flowers are by papermania & ribbon is Dovecraft also from the paper mill shop a bargain at just 99p!!!!!

Well thats all that I made yesterday - I am off to watch some episodes of House - I adore Hugh Laurie & I NVER EVER thought I would say that & if I make anything else I'll back back to show it off!!!! TTFN x x x

Love is in the air.....

Well as Christmas is nearly here I thought I would try & get a heads up and maybe start on some Valentine's Cards, I might continue to sell to the girls at work to fund my new purchases!

One of these new buys are the oval nestabilities, I wanted the Scalloped Circles but when I went to Amethyst Crafts in Blaydon they only had the Ovals, as I REALLY wanted some I just got the oval anyway - & I'm pleased I did as I really like them, I've also got the Labels 1 coming from a very friendly seller on ebay, may try & get the circles from her - why have I just thought of that now??? Lol

Craft Tonic A6 card blank, card stock from the paper mill shop, white pearl card has been embossed with the cuttlebug swiss dots embossing folder, Hedgie is from the Penny Black "Every Which Way" Clear set as is the sentiment & hedgie has been colored with Pro Markers.

I'm watching Bones - & going to try & make my last 2 Christmas cards or maybe carry on with Valentines/Easter/Birthdays........ See ya Soon! x

Anything but Christmas....

As much as I LOVE Christmas I feel like I have been making nothing but Christmas cards since April!!!!

So I have made this Valentine's card!

The paper is Forever Freinds, Ribbon is from Fenwicks in Newcastle, Hugs Ribbon Stamp is Hero Arts, & Embracable Rabbit is Penny Black which is colored with Pro Markers - no idea where the hearts came from (Ooops!)
